The fourth generation of Palm Abbe digital refractometers gives you the power of a full-fledged laboratory instrument in the palm of your hand. This is achieved at a very cost-effective price.
Brake fluid is ”hygroscopic,” meaning it absorbs water directly from the air – even in a closed brake system. If the brake fluid contains too much water, it will begin to boil at far too low a temperature. This results in a loss of braking performance.
The Palm Abbe refractometer is very easy to use and has a fast response time. Place your sample in the stainless steel sensor dish. The built-in microprocessor analyzes the sample through the sapphire glass and compensates for temperatures in the range of 0 to + 50 °C. The value is displayed within a few seconds.
Calibration is performed with a single button press by measuring a few drops of pure water. The refractometer is built with robust plastic and withstands rough handling. A protective cover can be folded down over the sensor dish to protect it.
Available accessories include a sturdy ABS storage box and a rubber cover that fits over the instrument.
